Spiderman into the Spiderverse Storyline/Plot
Teenager Miles Morales from New York City tries to live up to the standards set by his father, policeman Jefferson Davis, who views Spider-Man as a danger. As Miles gets used to prep school, his uncle Aaron Davis brings him to spray graffiti at an abandoned tube station. After being bitten by a radioactive spider, Miles has Spider-Man-like powers. When he gets back to the station, Miles finds a collider that Wilson Fisk created in an effort to reach parallel universes in order to bring back his deceased wife and kid, whose deaths he believes Spider-Man is to blame. Miles observes as Spider-Man battles Green Goblin and the Prowler, Wilson's goons, while trying to shut down the collider.
Green Goblin pushes Spider-Man into the collider after Spider-Man saves Miles, which results in an explosion that kills Goblin and injures Spider-Man. Spider-Man hands Miles a USB flash disc that will shut down the collider and warns that if it is triggered again, the machine would destroy the city. Miles escapes after witnessing Wilson kill Spider-Man in fear; Prowler pursues him but ultimately loses track of him. Miles makes an effort to uphold Spider-Man's legacy and take on the role of Spider-Man while the city mourns his passing. He accidentally destroys the disc while experimenting with his newly acquired skills. Miles encounters Peter B. Parker, an aged and battered Spider-Man from another universe, at Spider-Man's tomb. When they first meet, Miles learns that he can produce "venom-blasts," which are bio-electrical bursts.
In return for Miles' assistance in stealing data to build a new drive, Peter grudgingly agrees to train Miles. As they sneak into Wilson's research centre, Miles learns he has the ability to become invisible. Mad scientist Olivia Octavius confronts them and informs them that Peter would experience cellular deterioration if he stays in their reality. Octavius pursues Miles and Peter through the lab and adjacent woodland; Gwen Stacy, a Spider-Woman from another universe, saves them. They next go to the deceased Spider-Man's aunt May Parker, where she is caring for three additional Spider-people from different universes who are also deteriorating: Spider-Man Noir, Peni Parker, and Spider-Ham. After interviewing and testing Miles, they inform him that he is unfit to switch off the collider so the others may go home.
Miles is devastated and escapes to Aaron's house, where he learns that Aaron is the Prowler. Wilson, Prowler, Octavius, Scorpion, and Tombstone pursue Miles as he makes his way back to May's house, where Peni has finished the new drive. In the subsequent battle, Miles tells Aaron who he is just as Aaron is circling him. Aaron spares Miles out to self-preservation but is tragically shot by Wilson. Aaron urges Miles to keep moving in order to avoid dying as they run together. When Jefferson arrives on the scene and Miles flees, he assumes that Spider-Man is Aaron's killer. Miles' dorm room is where the heroes reassemble with a saddened Miles. Peter restrains Miles to keep him safe and departs with the others, deciding to make a supreme sacrifice by staying behind and turning off the collider.
Arriving at Miles' door, Jefferson apologises for his errors and motivates Miles, believing that Miles does not want to speak to him. Then, with May's assistance, Miles gains control of his abilities, breaks out of his bonds, and fashions his own Spider-Man costume. Defeating Wilson's enforcers and sending them home with the help of the new drive, he joins the heroes. Jefferson witnesses Wilson fighting Miles and learns that Spider-Man isn't the danger he thought he was. When Wilson is subdued by Miles' venom blast and thrown near the kill switch, the collider explodes, saving the city. Jefferson gives Miles encouragement. When Wilson and his goons are apprehended for their crimes, Jefferson hails the new Spider-Man as a hero and learns about Wilson's murderous activities.
While the heroes go back to their lives in their respective worlds, Miles accepts the obligations of his new existence. Later, Gwen discovers how to communicate with Miles from within her own world. Miguel O'Hara, a.k.a. Spider-Man 2099, visits the world of the 1967 Spider-Man animated series from another realm and has a disagreement with its Spider-Man about who pointed first.
