It is the sixteenth and final feature film set in the DC Animated Movie Universe (DCAMU), generally indicating the end of the continuity. It is based on the comic book storylines "Final Crisis" by Grant Morrison, "Darkseid War" by Geoff Johns, and portions of "Futures End".
Honest Review of this movie
One of the greatest DC films, essentially. I adore how the directing places more emphasis on the plot and people than it does on the battles. Against the Darkside does Superman battle? This has been done a million times before, and it is dull. Instead, this film places the conflict in the background while emphasising the emotional issues. We learn the answers to many unanswered issues in Darkside, including what's up with Raven's father, and Darkside does some very surprising things. The movie gives the JLA an incredible and fulfilling "finale." The only issue I had with the film was that you have to be familiar with each character's background and actions in order to fully appreciate its brilliance. As a story device, magic must also be explained, but happily this does not significantly impair the ability to suspend disbelief. I adore how Batman was used, and there was no other way that the story could have ended. There are so many wonderful concepts in this film! Good job, guys!

Justice League Dark:Apokolips War Storyline/Plot
After Darkseid's attempts to take over Earth are unsuccessful, the Justice League comes up with a strategy to defeat him by entering Apokolips and leaves the Teen Titans to protect Earth. They are unaware that Darkseid uses Cyborg to spy on the League for him. The League is overpowered and vanquished by Paradooms—hybrid beings created from Parademons and Doomsday—and the bulk of the League's and Titans' heroes perish; those that live are imprisoned in Darkseid's servitude.
Darkseid has now positioned "Reapers"—devices that harvest the planet's core—two years later. Raven, who has been trying to preserve her father Trigon's incarceration, is reunited with Superman when he escapes from Apokolips after being brutally depowered after Darkseid tattooed his chest with liquid kryptonite.[b] To find Damian Wayne, they look for John Constantine to cast a locating spell. Constantine finds Damian in a League of Assassins station, despite his initial reluctance to assist because he feels like a coward for running away during the initial attack on Darkseid and leaving his girlfriend Zatanna to perish. Damian needs to help rescue his father Batman from Darkseid's grip, Clark explains to him. Damian hesitantly consents to go with them.
The gang travels to Stryker's Island in Metropolis and meets with Lois Lane, Clark's wife, who has persuaded the Suicide Squad, now headed by Harley Quinn, to join their cause. The strategy Clark and Lois would take to get into LexCorp and use a boom tube to travel back to Apokolips and kill Darkseid is revealed. The remaining heroes attempt to fight the Reapers in the meantime, but are surrounded and slain by Paradooms. Lex Luthor approaches them there and admits that he was collaborating with Lois to learn more about Darkseid. The gang divides into two, with Lois, Luthor, and the Squad staying behind to guard the boom tube while Clark, Damian, Raven, Constantine, and Etrigan the Demon travel to Apokolips. Darkseid is informed of Luthor's treachery by Batman, who also dispatches Paradooms and the newly converted Furies after the heroes.
The Furies, which are cyborg replicas of Wonder Woman, Mera, Hawkman, Starfire, and Martian Manhunter, assault Clark's crew as soon as they arrive. Wonder Woman kills Etrigan, but Constantine uses her Lasso of Truth to release her. She makes the choice to stick around so she can fend off the other Furies while the gang advances. They also free Flash from the treadmill that runs Apokolips, and Constantine discovers that Flash had already changed the chronology.[d] They are soon confronted by Cyborg, who has merged into the planet's network. He is released from Darkseid's grip by Constantine, who also releases the other Furies. Darkseid commands Batman to murder Damian, but as Batman is reminded of the passing of his parents, he falters, eluding Darkseid's control. Darkseid tries to kill Batman in a fit of wrath, but Damian stops him and passes away in Batman's arms. When Raven is overcome by his death, Trigon is let free by her unexpected mental instability. Trigon is offered Constantine's corpse as a vessel, but Trigon declines and takes Clark's body instead, removing the kryptonite from it, regaining his abilities, and murdering Constantine in the process. Trigon assaults Darkseid while in Clark's possession. In her brief encounter with Constantine in the afterlife, Zatanna reveals that she performed a spell to trick him into running back to Earth as part of a backup plan hatched by Batman. Raven and Zatanna simultaneously resurrect Damian and Constantine.
When Paradooms encircle Lois's crew at LexCorp, they begin to self-destruct. Cyborg helps Lois send an end-of-days message to Apokolips. Her passing shakes Clark back to reality and releases him from Trigon's control. Trigon receives a corporeal body from Raven and Constantine so he may carry on battling Darkseid. Trigon stops Darkseid from escaping as Cyborg drags Apokolips into a boom tube with no exit as they are pulled into nothingness.
Batman informs that despite their success, the Reapers have taken a third of Earth's magma, the planet's rotation has been hampered, and that millions more people would perish before the League may be able to come up with a solution. As a consequence, while being aware that the world would change, Constantine manages to persuade Flash to go back in time and restart the chronology. The other heroes watch as Flash creates another flashpoint to reset the chronology after ultimately agreeing.
